The Lockwood house is located across the street from the Ashley River, with a great view from the upper and lower porches. The upper porch has an open deck area where you can enjoy the sunshine, or even eat your dinner while watching a sunset. The length of the house faces west, and slightly south. Your view, ranging from right to left, goes from the marina on the Ashley River toward the end of the peninsula where the Ashley River merges with the Cooper River on its way to the Atlantic Ocean. There are no buildings between you and the river. |
